Tree at Sunset

The Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest in Graham County, North Carolina is named for the poet who wrote a poem called, Trees.  He penned these words: “I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree.” I have spent many years falling in love with trees.  I especially love to see their wintertime bare limbs that remind me of the bones on which our bodies live.  This tree at sunset shows the beauty that these limbs foretell.
