Big John Butler, who has been called many precious nicknames like, <\/span>The Bear<\/span><\/i> or <\/span>The Lord,<\/span><\/i> was my first supervisor when I graduated from Ohio University and moved to Pittsburgh to work as a counselor for Young Life Campaign, a nondenominational Christian youth organization.<\/span><\/p>\n John, a sound engineer, retired after 33 years from his positions as Professor and Manager of the Petersen Sound Studio at the Ohio University School of Film in Athens, Ohio.<\/span><\/p>\n In honor of this gentle giant, I donated this portrait of the praiseworthy and highly admired John L.
